Approval for concurrence is needed for additional pay, allowances or benefits for a principal as set out in the Education and Training Act 2020.

School boards should apply for concurrence before offering any additional payments or benefits to the principal. A board may discuss it with the principal before applying.

Proof of concurrence

Auditors will look for proof of concurrence. The Office of the Auditor General (OAG) also regularly reviews the process.
